Important: Verify your steering box input spline is 3/4-30 spine, if not it is most likely 13/16-30 spline which was ’77 and earlier
Eliminate the worn rubber rag joint that came stock on your classic
Firm up your steering significantly and eliminate slop, all while making more room for your header tubes
A must for a corner carver or even daily, feels like new again
Installs between the steering column and steering box
Simple install, an hours work with noticeable improvement
Fits G-Body’s, early S-10s, F-Body’s and more
These U-joints are sealed and do not require grease. The plastic factory dust shield can be retained to keep dirt and other contaminates out of the assembly. An occasional shot of our rod end spray lube will keep them friction free for years
IMPORTANT INSTALL INFO: If the u-joint does not slide over the column, chamfer the end of the column with a file until it does, you should not be hammering on this to install it. About 10% of columns need a slight amount of material removed
NOTE: Again please verify your column output is 1″ DD and steering box input is 3/4 x 30 Spline, if not we CAN modify to fit your application
NOTE: Late model S-10s have a u joint at the column from the factory, however if you wish to purchase this shaft to replace both that u-joint and the rag joint make a note in your order as we have to make this item longer
